Mario A. Ruiz
Systems engineer working at the seam between signal processing, interaction design, and mathematics. I build interactive tools, usually because I want to see something I haven't seen before, and engineering is the shortest path there.
I'm Mario, a systems engineer from Bogotá. Across research roles in Hong Kong, Mexico City, and Bogotá, I've designed interfaces for robotic platforms, built embedded audio hardware, and written my undergraduate thesis on optimization tools for academic planning. My foundation is in competitive mathematics and programming, and I still carry that bias: a respect for structure, an instinct toward elegance, a habit of looking for the simpler shape behind a messy problem.
I work at the seam between embedded systems, digital signal processing, and the part of computer architecture that lives underneath them. The throughline is making tools that feel less like machines and more like instruments.
When I'm not building, I'm writing about why I built it.
